Tutor Melbourne is currently recruiting additional tutors for 2010.  If you are qualified and skilled at sharing your knowledge with others, then we may have the right tutor job (casual hourly tutor job) opportunity for you. Our Melbourne tutor jobs provide one on one teaching and academic coaching services our students.  We are passionate about our service to our students and to qualify for a tutor job, you will need to share that passion.

Our private tutors may have their own offices, may perform home tutoring at the students home or may perform the tutoring over the web.  The job of a tutor is a position of great responsibility.  We take our selection of tutors seriously.  We would prefer not to offer a tutor job rather than to have a tutor not live up to the standards of Tutor Melbourne.

Because many of our positions involve working with young adults, we require that you have a working with children check prior to commencement at a Tutor Melbourne job.

How Tutor Melbourne works?

We aim to match qualified tutors with students. Upon matching, tutormelbourne receives a booking from the student. The student pays tutormelbourne for those lessons.  During the registration process, you will have an opportunity to set your hourly rate to whatever amount you believe is appropriate; remembering that our students will be looking at the combination of your credentials and your price when deciding who to request.

Of the nominated rate, you'll initially receive exactly 50% with no taxes withheld since you are an independent contractor, not an employee. EXAMPLE:  Your nominated rate is $50 per hour.  You will receive $25 per hour and Tutor Melbourne will receive $25.  Tutormelbourne.com.au students pay Tutormelbourne.com.au directly for their tutoring services, and Tutormelbourne.com.au will then direct deposit to your account for completed hours on the 1st and 15th of each month. Note:  That if you directly solicit a student after referral from Tutor Melbourne, you are in breach of contract and are liable for $3,000 payment to Language Champs Pty Ltd.  See terms and conditions. 

Tutors are responsible for submitting their timesheets via email to Tutor Melbourne for tutoring sessions completed. Tutors should submit completed classes within seven (7) days of the lesson date. Tutors shall be paid via direct deposit on the 1st and 15th of each month.
