About Sion
Hi, my name is Sion, after completing my Education and Actuarial Science degrees in Melbourne University, I'm at the planing stage of starting my own tutoring business: A+ Tuition. Based on my extremely successful four years' tutoring experience, and strong academic backgrounds (VCE ENTER 98.1%, close to High Distinction average in Melbourne University), I believe that I'm very well prepared in motivating and inspiring students effectively, and confident of bringing dedicated efforts and real differences to students' academic studies.

Tutoring is interesting and challenging, I like tutoring because I like communicating and interacting with other students. On the other hand, how to effectively motivate those students and equip them with right skills could sometimes be challenging. In my opinion, tutors should set clear targets for students, helping students understand the available rewards (e.g, able to study in a famous University or to pursue one's dream career) if the target is met, and most importantly, using appropriate combination of methods in the tutorials (e.g, frequent encouragements, appropriate challenging, interesting exercises, detailed presentation, close supervising, etc.)

During my past tutoring experience, people describe me as an easy going, patient and resourceful tutor, and it was very rewarding to see my students' achieve their dream results. Out of the sutdents that I provided tutoring for, three of them achieved above 97%, with lots of Math, Accounting and Finance students became top student in class.

I'm currently specializing tutoring in VCE year 11 and year 12 subjects, and will be more than just happy to provide my references, which will be available upon request.

I strongly believe every student can shine, what we need to do is to provide adequate guidance and positive influences.
