About Julius
| I completed my VCE studies at the end of 2008 with an ENTER score of 95.95. I completed VCE Music Group and Music solo both with a score of 45 and VCE Art with a score of 42. My instrument for VCE solo was Contemporary guitar but I would also be more than comfortable in tutoring for performance on Bass guitar and Drums as well. I have already been employed as a music tutor by my secondary school for VCE students in Music Theory and general music studies in 2009. I am about to undertake my second year of study at the Victorian College of the Arts studying Music Performance/Practical Composition. I am very confident in tutoring and I feel that I am good at helping students understand things from different perspectives and understanding problems and obstacles which prevent learning in what can sometimes be the stubborn and dogmatic classroom method, especially with regards to the study of Music Theory, a method not suited to everyone's learning capabilities. I completed my VCE studies at Princes Hill Secondary College in Carlton, one of the best government schools in Melbourne.
I am 20 years old and I would be comfortable tutoring anybody between the ages of 16 and 20, for any music subjects and for VCE Art. At the end of my time at Princes Hill, I was awarded the Quenten Blainey memorial art prize as well as an inaugural Music Award to acknowledge my contribution to the music department in my time at Princes Hill. I do not yet know my hours for Uni this semester but I should be available on most days of the week. |
