About Jack
I am an Engineering student at RMIT University in Melbourne.
I am passionate about my studies and love being able to share my knowledge and understanding with others who share my enthusiasm.

I tend to tackle problems with a view to gaining a new and deeper understanding of a concept, rather than memorising rules and formulae, and I try and help my students achieve the same.

I believe that speed and efficiency in solving problems in both maths and physics, as well most other areas, just comes with practice but are, however, useless if one doesn't understand the underlying concept behind the problem.
I also believe that understanding comes differently to different people and is often only really achieved after looking at a subject from a number of different directions until the connections between it and some other reference point become apparent. It is in finding these connections that a broader understanding is gained.

In terms of contact, it would be preferable to first use email or sms as, especially during semester I am not always able to answer my phone.

note: I have only just registered with Tutor Melbourne and will update my profile with time availability once I have my timetable for semester two. until then I am fairly flexible with times so just send me an email if you are interested and we can sort something out.
