| PROFESSIONAL:
I am a practising Chartered Accountant since 1976. I was with one of the Big-4 Accounting Firms, where I held the position of National Technical & Professional Development Manager for several years. Then I went into a 8-partner firm and was that Firm's National Audit & Accounting Technical Partner and also their Audit Director. I also lectured and tutored in First Year Accounting and Final Year Auditing at Victoria University (Footscray Campus) for 8 years (night classes). I was responsible for the Auditing Course Content and Details, for setting and marking Tutorial and Exam Papers. I am now the Chief Financial Officer with an IT Company, responsible for all financial, accounting, taxation and reporting matters. I am passionate about Accounting, Tax, and particularly Auditing. I am not so much a Lecturer, but more of a TEACHER. I make learning a fun process. I teach by breaking things down to their simplest elements and components for easy comprehension and absorption. I sincerely believe that a simple "Pass" in any academic subject / course is such a lowly achievement that it MUST NOT EVEN BE CONTEMPLATED! Students must always aim and strive for the highest grade in every single one of their respective course undertakings! And I offer my services to be your MENTOR for such high learning ideals! MUSIC: I adore everything musical. I also operate a Music Business where I hire myself (and other singers) out for cabaret shows, variety-karaoke shows, etc. I provide coaching and practice sessions for all grades of singers (from amateurs upwards), concentrating on song selections and fine-tuning and honing their public performance skills (ideal for professionals preparing a new or adding to their repertoire, and for amateurs chasing singing / karaoke competitions). COOKING: Cooking is my other calling, and I am a GREAT chef - I also run cooking classes for novice cooks .... !! |
