About Lucy
A graduate of Melbourne University Faculty of Music, Lucy Triffett is a young, vibrant musician and teacher who enjoys playing music by the great composers such as Chopin, Beethoven, and Debussy. She also likes to play rock and pop music by contemporary artists such as Thirsty Merc, Jewel, Guy Sebastian and others.
Lessons are available one on one with a possiblity of group lessons at a lower rate of pay, for students six years of age and under.
Lucy works with students from the age of five and up who either have ambition for performance, or are looking simply to play for their own enjoyment. Her approach to teaching is in nurturing the musicality and unique personality of each student. Each student needs encouragement and guidance to let their unique gifts flourish.
The classical genre has a vast repertoire to explore. Ranging from Bach contrapuntal style, through to the Classical form and beauty, to Romantic expressionism and the colourful Contemporary styles. Lucy’s more advanced students are encouraged to play accompaniment of both vocal and instrumentalists, as it is a way of sharing ones talent, while further developing your skills as a musician. Lucy experiences music as a cultivation of the “joy de vivre” and loves to pass this incalculable gift on to others.
