About Matt
| Hi my name is Matt. I am a professional guitarist and tutor. As a musician, I play solo acoustic guitar in a style called nouveau flamenco, which incorporates elements of flamenco, jazz and improvisation.
I studied jazz guitar at the Wellington Conservatorium of Music in New Zealand, followed by further study at the University of Waikato, completing a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in music and history. I also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in primary school teaching. I have knowledge in music theory, chords, scales, composition, improvisation, and musicianship. I particularly specialise in jazz music and theory. I bring with me musical knowledge and performance experience, having performed at various venues in the Melbourne CBD.
